A special birthday present
During the last few months of my 39th year, I had mentioned to my husband Ben how much I loved garnets and diamonds. They were my favourite gemstones. Ben worked at Launceston Precision Jewellers so during the days that followed he and the jeweller, Ben Nicholls, sat down to discuss the colour, size, shape & how best to display the garnet, & with a spray of diamonds to contrast and highlight the garnet colour.
I wear casual and formal tailored jackets in a multitude of colours so the warmth of yellow gold was chosen for the metal. Designed to be worn vertically on my lapel it looks stunning as a statement piece and is complimented by my garnet ring.
Ben's attention to detail with both design and craftsmanship was beyond my expectations. Each time I wear the brooch I receive many wonderful comments as it’s such a beautiful item to wear.
