About Us

Ben joined LPJ in 2002 working for his parents Robert & Lynda after finishing school. With 20 years at the bench refining his craft & a Diploma in Gemmology for his love of gemstones, Ben never considers his work as a job, its a passion. Much of his life away from the tools revolve around water. Diving & fishing with family & friends in the Tasmanian wilderness is a major source for inspiration. No doubt why pearls are one of his favorite gems.

Ben created the LPJ showroom with his workbench as a major feature to enhance the truely Tasmanian hand made experience & opportunity for all clients to see & talk to a jeweller honing his craft.

Marcus has recently moved to Launceston Precision Jewellers after spending over 20 years in the travel industry. As he says ‘a change is as good as a holiday…… or a new piece of jewellery…..’

With an extensive background in customer service and a flair for the finer things in life, Marcus is the retail side of the business. Always eager to show you a beautiful piece of stock, Marcus can also assist with organising the creation of a stunning new item, and arranging repairs or restoration to your own precious pieces.

Luke recently joined the LPJ family In 2022. Showing an interest to learn the fine art of repairing & manufacturing jewellery. Under the guidance of Ben, all facets of caring for our clients jewellery to building his skills, master his craft & will see Luke grow a passion for the trade & his creativity within it.
